Kanu becomes first Nigerian to ride motorcycle solo from Lagos to South Africa

In 2012, he became the first Nigerian biker to ride solo from Lagos,Nigeria to Austria, riding through France, Germany, Austria, and Italy; and in mid-October, he embarked on another solo trip from South Africa to Lagos. With this trip, Kanu has again broken more limits by becoming the first Nigerian member of the Iron Butt Association, also known as the World’s Toughest Motorcycle Riders, after riding for 1600+ kilometres in 24 hours on a bike. Kanu, who is a chemical engineer, has ridden motorcycles in 26 countries of the world, 23 of which were with his own Nigerian-registered motorcycle. Kanu is the co-founder, and member of the Board of Trustees of the Easy Riders Motorcycle Club of Nigeria – the first registered motorcycle club in Nigeria. He is also the co-founder of Ride Easy Motorcycle Training School; co-founder and member Board of Trustees, Ride Easy Motorcycling Club of Lagos, and Superbike Clubs Association of Nigeria (SCAN). He is the first and returning Vice President of the Association of Nigerian Motorcycle Clubs. When he is not pursuing adventure, he pursues perfection of his riding skills.
