Kenya Airways (KQ) and airBaltic (BT) announced an interline agreement on Tuesday that will improve Connectivity.

Customers will also have more travel alternatives between Africa and the Baltic nations as a result of the deal.

Under the interline agreement, Kenya Airways will extend its reach in Europe via Amsterdam, Paris, and Dubai.

The partnership also allows airBaltic travellers to buy a ticket to Nairobi and enjoy smooth connections to Kenya Airways destinations throughout Africa, including Uganda, Tanzania, Seychelles, Mauritius, and South Africa, among many others.

"This partnership gives us an opportunity to explore and extend our reach in Europe, further diversifying our routes as we work towards serving our customers better. Our aim is to provide Connectivity for Kenya Airways customers and provide them with more travel choices across Europe," said Kenya Airways Chief Commercial and Customer Officer Julius Thairu.

Commenting on the partnership[, Thomas Ramdahl, SVP Network Management at airBaltic, said: "In order to give our customers additional flexibility and travel options, we are glad to team up with Kenya Airways. By working together, we can give our customers seamless Connectivity and more options when booking their travel between Africa and the Baltics."

airBaltic, Latvia's flag carrier, has witnessed great expansion both in the Baltics and globally and now connects the Baltic area to more than 70 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus.

Kenya Airways and airBaltic believe that their collaboration would reinvent the travel experience by providing new options and convenience to passengers while also boosting links between Kenya and Latvia.
