On invitation of the Chadian President, Idriss Deby Itno, African heads of State of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community, CEMAC will on March 24, 2019 convene in Ndjamena, capital of Chad for the 14th CEMAC Heads of State Summit.
the gathering of leaders from Gabon, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Republic of the Congo and Equatorial Guinea has as main objective to examine the progress of the implementation of resolutions made at the Conference of Heads of State held on 25th October 2018. We gathered that the come-together will also seek resolutions geared at reviving the economies within the subregion.
Another point is to evaluate the Institutional Reform Program and finally discuss the issue of financing the Community through the collection of the Community Integration Tax (CIT).
Before that, the leaders will assemble for the 33rd session of the Council of Ministers of the Central African Economic Union, UEAC on March 22 and the Ministerial Committee of the Central African Monetary Union on March 23.
